Here's your sign

12 day left until the Nov. 4th elections - do you know where your sign is? All around us people’s signs are being stolen and defaced. On our street all the McCain/Palin signs were stolen and our Yes on Prop. 8 sign taken as well. Our neighbor down the street even had a note taped to their garage door telling them they had been “Baracked” and added some profanity in there.

Then this morning I checked my email and there was one in there from Christian’s grandmother. On her Prop. 8 sign someone printed PRO HATE in between the picture of the kids and then the next night someone left a message on her porch saying, “It's about time that you grow up & accept people as equals Vote NO prop. 8.” It is kind of funny to tell someone’s grandmother to grow up.

I have to say, we must be doing something right if they are so driven to destroy and steal these signs. But that also means we need to persevere and not give in to the fear they are hoping to instill.

Please keep up the fight! We can do this. It is not about hate but about love. It is about our love for God and all of His people, lost or forgiven, sign stealer or not a sign stealer.
